Description
Foracort Rotacap – Dual Therapy for Asthma and COPD
Foracort Rotacap is a combination inhalation therapy used for the long-term treatment and prevention of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It combines two active ingredients – Formoterol (a long-acting bronchodilator) and Budesonide (an inhaled corticosteroid) – which work together to ease breathing and reduce inflammation in the airways.
Uses of Foracort Rotacap:
Benefits of Foracort Rotacap:
- Relieves symptoms such as wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, and persistent coughing.
- Opens up airways and reduces inflammation, improving lung function.
- Enables easier breathing, helping patients perform daily activities more comfortably.
- Provides long-lasting symptom control when used regularly.
Note: It is not a rescue inhaler and should not be used for sudden breathing difficulty. Use a short-acting bronchodilator in such situations.
How Foracort Rotacap Works?
- Formoterol: A long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes muscles in the airways, allowing easier airflow.
- Budesonide: An inhaled corticosteroid that suppresses inflammation by blocking chemical messengers responsible for airway swelling and irritation.
The combination provides dual action: immediate airway relaxation and long-term inflammation control.
How to Use?
- Do not swallow the capsule.
- Use only with a Rotahaler device.
- Place one capsule in the base of the rotahaler (not in the mouthpiece).
- Twist the mouthpiece until you hear a click.
- Inhale deeply through the mouthpiece.
- Hold your breath for 10 seconds; exhale slowly.
- Repeat the inhalation if powder remains in the device.
After use, rinse your mouth or brush your teeth to prevent oral fungal infections.
